Zen's located at Bugis; Midlink Plaza, 122 Middle Rd, Singapore 188973.
Organic Smooth Move! Found at the topmost shelf at Zen's waiting area. |
Unagi Don set meal; miso soup, daikon salad (peanut-y dressing), pudding made with tofu topped red bean, wakame salad, a bowl of veg, & the main dish! |
I didn't take much pictures cause I didn't want to hold everyone back from their food and all.. I don't remember the prices, but everyone got a set meal.. seemed the most value for money on the menu, & we were darn right. I could barely finish my unagi don! Though I must say the mock unagi is drool worthy, even though it didn't taste anything like the real unagi. (>.< ;)
Zen's moving to another location soon because Midlink Plaza's gonna be enbloc-ed. Execpt for the Zen Restaurant, i didn't see any other shop that was open for business. In fact, I saw this one cute note on the closed shutters of a shop outside Zen.
As we were heading towards the car to head back.. we spotted a row of very squished birds! |
SO! .. after dinner, we headed back to Jer's place.. Jer & I planned to finish "The Incredible Hulk" movie we were watching earlier before dinner. Ben mentioned that he wanted to go Northpoint after parking the car which made me change my mind & decide to go jalan jalan with my full tummy. Spent some time in The Face Shop; choosing my BB cream. Ended up with Aqua Tinted in Natural Beige(SPF20/PA++). Wanted to get one with a broad spectrum SPF, but it seems that TFS doesn't have a product with that feature. (;_・)*tear*
Now, to end off with an odd incident, almost mental, under a not-so-amazing-supermoon.
Jer & I took the route pass the Northpoint taxi stand cause I had to withdraw money at POSB.. right as we passed the taxi stand, I noticed this odd little old woman standing a meter or two away. She had her hands out in front of her and seemed like she was trembling. soooooooo~~~ I stole a quick glance at her.. & she just had to make eye contact with me. (( >.< )) She looked towards me and said "我很辛苦" Obviously, that made me stop. We decided to call the police hotline, not 999, to help her. Reason being that she said (in chinese + hokkien)
"i don't know where i live"
"i live in sembawang"
"my head very pain"
"the hospital lost my I/C" - imagine the look o my face when i heard this.
"i came out from hougang" - In which I asked Jer, "Hougang?!" & Jer was all "?? .. Ohhhhh.. Woodbridge."
then~ she said "i came out from ban qiao" - I was doubly stunned.. (x_x)
We asked if she came out alone and how she came out, she said the doctor signed her form and she could just walked out alone. She could even tell me what bus she took to Yishun. Goodness. While waiting for the police, she even told me she had duck rice at the coffeeshop up head.
The police arrived about 20 mins later & the first thing I asked the officer was "Are you good in hokkien?" Then he went up real close to the old woman.. "Auntie ah! le wu dian wei bo!?" HAHAHAHA!
Don't know what happened at the end of everything, but there was a crowd & a taxi Q the moment the police arrived. Hilarious!
Powers of a Super Moon? .. NAH!
