Haha.. If you haven't already got the title of this post.. No, it's not a sob story. it's a Showers of Blessings story!

Yesterday night, before my first day of being a year older was over, I posted a status update on facebook.

before anything else, I want to put this down.
on my first day of being a year older, i am more than happy.
maybe it's the beer & sake.. =\ but still, my heart is in a state of euphoria.
please don't think it's the gifts. that's something else entirely.
when special people come together, everything becomes a fairytale come true.
a wish i didn't have to make to have it happen.

A couple of weeks back, I was all down in the dumps. I'll admit.. I clean forgot all about counting my blessings. And with the way things were going at that time, I gave up on wanting to celebrate my special day. Maybe I daydream too much of picture perfect parties & fun events. I probably have too many ideas floating around in my head.

You know how people like to have boxes of some sort as their cake? Like a Tiffany & Co. box. I was wondering.. has anyone ever had a box cake, with a ring in it. Or any other relatively small gift placed inside. Like the one in the picture above. But that's made of fondant. People don't usually eat fondant. I wonder if a cupcake will work? Hmm.. anyhoos, such an idea would be perfect for a proposal of sorts wouldn't it? (＾▽＾)

This is pretty nice too.. I guess making the ring box out of fondant means it won't mold if you keep it.

Alright, I am 100% not hinting of marriage or anything along those lines. I just had this idea during the mooncake season. Made a sticky note about it but I never found the right time to blog about it. Haha.

Everything that happened leading up to my birthday prepared me for anything but my birthday.
It felt really nice & sweet when my eldest brother wished me "happy birthday". (^-^ ) hehe~
Picking up my Häagen-Dazs birthday cake.. It's an ice-cream cake! Duh~ haha!
The birthday dinner @ bottle tree park. Where I only realized upon seeing Kelly & Adrian at the table, that my friends will be with me to celebrate! My heart was on cloud nine later when I saw Michelle, Sophia, Eric, & my godson Ethan. I realized how little I ate, but I wasn't hungry even after I got home. I was so filled with sugar, spice, & everything nice. *smiles*

My Perfect Gift from Jer with much ❤

I had an awesome time. There was many many laughs & smiles. I would like to believe that everyone else present had an equally great time. Because there has to be very real and true feelings to have put my heart into such a state of euphoria at the end of the night. I was still reeling from all the happiness earlier today. But even when my birthday was over, blessings were still falling all over me.

All the way from Thailand, cause they were there for week of prayer.

About 10 minutes after the song, my elder brother came home & told me he got cheesecake for me. He may not have wished me or know that I don't eat cheesecake, but I was really happy because he got me cake! Maybe he didn't specially get the slices specially for me. I don't know, I won't find out, & honestly, I don't care. My brother bought cake for me! *giggles*

This year, I took my birth date off facebook too. There's no need to remind everyone & have them spam my  wall.

I've some other gifts I didn't post pictures of.. yet. But I will, in time to come when I use them. hehe! Let's just say.. the boyfriend stole most of my attention earlier today with the game Just Dance 4. haha. I couldn't wait to set it up & play! My mum totally joined in. So did my helper! It was such fun! & I can't believe it's my 2nd day of being 21. meh~~

That's all for photos of my birthday presents. I think my gifts are so out of the world partly cause it's my 21st.. But it doesn't matter. The gifts mean a lot to me in their own way. Yet, it's not the gifts that made me as happy as a lark. I initially thought and really believed that nothing was going to happen. That the only one who was thinking about my birthday was my boyfriend. But that wasn't the case. The people I love and care about, they love and care about me too! They all did something for me & that itself made me really warm & fuzzy inside. Even the people I don't quite love but care enough about. They did something for me too. haha. okay. So I don't know the best way to describe this state of euphoria my heart is in.
Bottom line, I'm beyond happy.
