Did a google search after getting home from the musical, to see how many tickets asiaone gave away, and found this!

Now on to WICKED: The Broadway Musical!
The weekday showtime is 7:30pm, with a gentle reminder that everyone should try to arrive 15 minutes early or at least be seated by the start of the musical. There's was a security screening (bag check) and J had a bag with all our valuables, water bottle, and two plain inari sushi (stuffed them in our mouth while going through the bag check. Was hilarious, talking to the security with our mouths stuffed with sushi. Hahaha! xD Well, security only reminded us that drinking, even if it's your personal water bottle, is not allowed in the theater. Then we had to each hold our own tickets for them to scan. Nope, no tearing or stubs. We got to keep the tickets as they are, yay! =D
the stage from my B reserve seat (3rd row from the back, 3rd seat from the left) |
The Grand Theater wasn't quite what I expected (in size and a little in appearance).. Looking at the name and the location.. How can I not picture a grand theater at marina bay sands? The place was a lot smaller than what I had imagined. But no matter! The musical was GRAND. The bat-like thing at the top of the stage isn't a bat. It's a dragon! Not that I want to spoil anything, but the dragon moves at the start of the musical and somewhere between. Don't miss it!
The musical runs for 2 hours 30 minutes, not including a 15/20-minute intermission. I think my seat was perfect. At least for me.. Right in the middle of Door 3 and 2, at the back with a full and straight view of the entire "Time Dragon Clock" stage. Meaning.. I didn't have to crane my neck to look at the dragon. Haha! And because I was so near the doors, I was the first out of the theater and in the ladies. No queue! *grins* The downside? Couldn't quite make out the expressions of the cast. :(
No worries though! Audio quality isn't affected. So.. as long as you pay attention to the tones and the lyrics of the songs, it'll still be a wonderful experience. ^^
Got to love "Defying Gravity".. Though, I still prefer the Glee version and the original cast for Elphaba, Idina Menzel. <3
WICKED souvenir program book ($20) |
Jer bought the souvenir program book ($20) as a keepsake, for our first musical together. There were things like T-shirts, keychains ($12!!), hooded jackets, stationery, and etc, for sale just outside the theater. Or you could check out their online store if you missed it. =]
We went for prata after the musical @ simpang bedok. My tummy was growling and bugging me to feed it. Which in turn, made Jer worried and wanting to feed me. Haha! He was really tired though. But we both agreed that feeling sleepy at work the next day is totally worth it. *smiles*
Goodnight, my wicked ~
