Made the smallest amount of royal icing ever.. Just to ice the gingerbread men.. |
Icing with such a small "bag" is one real challenge I don't wish to face often.. (x_x ) & from this experience, I can better gauge how much icing to make. *grins* Simply because.. after 22 GB men, there was still enough icing left to go for another what? 30 or so GB men.
Jeremy usually does the gingerbread men baking.. while I do the icing. |
ehhh.. the snowballs are really called snowballs.. at least to me.. haha. they have a kiss inside each of them thou. that makes them special snowballs! *smiles* |
you might find these cookies familiar.. but no, I didn't bake them. All I did was ice them. heh.. |
my usual sugar cookies, like what I did for Halloween. |
don't they look a little like ondeh ondeh? (a traditional Malay kuih) but nope, that's just icing sugar. |
final result of my first Yule Log! for the Christmas Dinner @ Nat & Doca's place. |
it's pretty obvious how 'forced' the little stump was placed.. hahaha. I couldn't stand the log without a stump.. I just HAD to make one.. o(>.<)o |
Made this one with a self edited recipe.. |
Yes, I was finally brave enough to just play around with all the numbers. I used 3 eggs instead of 4. Then I took off about 20g of cake flour and 15g of butter. & boy oh boy, the swiss roll turned out so so SO very soft! I almost didn't want to turn it into a yule log to give away. *meep!*
Soon, it'll be 2013..
