Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookies

My brother asked for a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies. Apparently, he wanted to put them in the shop where he works. To snack on them I presume. Haha.

Ever since I put a cookie jar and filled it, at home (it's just a clear jar for cookies only - photo below), the little treats have been running off into certain oblivion known as "eating". Watching the cookie jar empty out day by day makes me really happy. When I see the cookies hit the critically endangered range, it's off to my little bakery for some *ahem* .. reproduction. & today's one of those days. *grins*

1 Egg
1 Tsp. vanilla essence

Whip butter until creamy, then add sugar and continue beating.
Add salt, vanilla & egg and mix till combined.
Fold in the flour and add chocolate chips.
Bake 8-10 minutes (depending on the size of your cookie) or until edges are barely brown.
Here's a photo of the chocolate chip cookies I made this afternoon.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
not the prettiest I'll admit..

In the above case, beauty is not in the eye of the beholder. It's about the inner beauty of these cookies in the tummy of the beholder. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

On another note, that's an iKEA jar holding 510grams of awesomeness, a whole 60 pieces!
