freshly kneaded white bread dough with plumped currants behind |
After much deliberation, I am back in the wagon of bread making. This time, there wasn't a single bit of wholemeal. I'm not against healthy eating/baking, I simply want to get a feel of the bread dough. & honestly speaking, I've forgotten most of my past bread making trials & errors (and not once did I get '
shaggy dough').

floured currants to absorb any excess liquid from plumping them
I didn't have any raisins stocked up in my lil' bakery, so I had to make do with currants |
all rolled out with some currants folded in
then brushed with eqq wash, then a light layer of cinnamon sugar with currants
look at how it shines~ haha. that's after the egg wash step
followed by a close up of the cinnamon sugar with currants |
a too small loaf for my loaf pan, with cinnamon sugar water pooling at the bottom.. |
*boom!* |
the sweet sticky mess left behind in the loaf pan |
a huge crack running the length of the loaf |
but look! pretty swirls~ *squeals* |
Will be making this again some time soon. Only next time, I'll have to up the amount of flour. There just wasn't enough for full loaf of pretty cinnamon swirls! *
grins*
swirly twirly, spin & spin~
